Pietu Korhonen is a Helsinki-based sound designer (b. 1981). He has worked as a sound designer on films such as Fjord, Fallen Leaves, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, and Compartment No. 6, for which he received a Jussi Award nomination.
Prior to founding his own company Usva Sound he worked as a sound editor at Heikki Kossi’s H5 Film Sound. He contributed to numerous international productions including Ad Astra and Sound of Metal, which won the Academy Award for Best Sound.
Over the course of his career Pietu Korhonen has worked on more than 200 Finnish and international films and television series.
